Association between Sepsis Survivorship and Long-Term Cardiovascular Outcomes in Adults

ESICM Talk: Episode 13

Sepsis is associated with an increased long-term risk of cardiovascular events, which is observed for at least 5 years after the index admission. This risk represents a critical area of potential intervention to improve post-sepsis outcomes.

In this episode, powered by the ICM Journal, Ignacio Martin-Loeches, ICM Associate Editor, interviews Patrick Lawler and Leah B. Kosyakovsky, among the authors of a systematic review and meta-analysis evaluating post-sepsis cardiovascular outcomes in adult sepsis survivors.
