Collaborative Centres of Expertise in Intensive Care
Last updated : 01/10/2024 - 139 views
In 2024 we will continue to contribute to the green transition, with environmentally sustainable education. Our edge-cutting hybrid programmes will boost digital learning with integration of skills through new technologies, fellowships and hands-on activities around key events.
In this context ESICM has created two complementary practical training tracks to ensure the full development of competencies required in Intensive Care.
The first practical training track includes hands-on and simulations completed by fellowships conducted in European Centres of Expertise in Intensive Care.
The second practical training track immerses learners in realistic ICU settings via 2D and 3D Virtual Reality created by European ICU Expert Centres. Here learners meet virtually a team of international experts and they can experience clinical bedside cases, with pathophysiological and technical deep-dive sessions. This dualapproach assures maximum knowledge retention and skills development for our Intensive Care Community.
We hereby acknowledge all centres and experts for their invaluable support and help with the development and delivery of Intensive Care training in today’s challenging context. Together we are Intensive Care!
