3rd Critical Care Datathon
3rd Critical Care Datathon
The diffusion of electronic health records and advancement of monitoring devices has made possible the collection of always increasing amounts of patients’ data, especially in critical care.
The opportunities arising from this form of Big Data are numerous and diverse and are promoting a surge in research fundings and industry interests. Indeed, their analysis with machine learning and predictive modelling could provide new insights and improve patient care.
A critical care datathon is an event where multidisciplinary teams and international experts join forces to investigate clinical questions using large datasets of electronic health records.
In addition, they have the chance to expand their knowledge of data, learn new ways to answer clinical questions and create connections!
After two successful editions in Milan, the third edition of the ESICM Critical Care Datathon is a digital one!
We have opened the 2021 Datathon with an introductory webinar held on Friday, April 30, which you can watch below.
Teams are now assigned clinical questions to work on and they will present their results during a live-streamed grand final event on Friday, May 28.
