Dual Sequence Defibrillation: is it ready for prime time?
Replay available
Dual Sequential External Defibrillation (DSED) involves delivering rapid sequential shocks using two defibrillators, with defibrillation pads strategically placed in both the anterior-lateral and anterior-posterior positions. This innovative approach is designed to improve survival rates in patients with refractory Ventricular Fibrillation (VF). However, several aspects of this technique remain unexplored.
Join the experts’ discussion to gain insights into the clinical application of DSED and its potential impact on patient outcomes.
This webinar is organised by the ESICM Trauma and Emergency Medicine Section.
Aims & Objectives
- Explore the clinical application of Dual Sequential Defibrillation in cases of resistant VF.
- Identify key areas that require further research to establish DSED as a promising therapy.
