WHO: SAVE LIVES – How to Prevent Sepsis

It’s in your hands – Prevent Sepsis in Healthcare
As part of its “SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands” campaign, the World Health Organisation (WHO) is working to raise awareness amongst healthcare professionals about the prevention of healthcare-associated sepsis through hand hygiene and infection prevention and control (IPC). They have provided a number of key resources for practitioners in the run up to World Hand Hygiene Day on 5 May 2018.

One of these useful resources is a new infographic on sepsis prevention (see above). It is currently available in English and will also be issued in French, Spanish, Arabic and Russian in the coming days.
ESICM is a staunch supporter of the WHO’s 2017 resolution on improving the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of sepsis (WHA70.7) and initiatives such as the SAVE LIVES Campaign that aim to prevent healthcare-associated infections, which are a risk factor for the development of sepsis.
Join with us and share these great resources with your colleagues in your hospital and online!
