Working hands-in-hands for best cardiac patient outcome

AcuteCVDays is a campaign led by the Association for Acute CardioVascular Care (ACVC) of the ESC, aiming at increasing awareness on specific cardiac diseases and providing quick and free access to a selection of useful tools and resources that may improve your knowledge and skills in the field

Acute cardiovascular care is not just the matter of cardiologists but concerns all healthcare professionals involved in the management of critically ill cardiac patients.

For that reason, the 2021 edition is presented as a multidisciplinary collaboration with the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), the European Resuscitation Council (ERC), the European Society of Emergency Medicine (EUSEM), the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) and the European Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (EuroElso).

We must all work together to take care and to improve the outcome of these patients.

Let us all join forces!

Post Resuscitation care in ICU after Cardiac Arrest

“Patients admitted comatose after an out of hospital cardiac arrest will all experience some aspects of the complex post-cardiac arrest syndrome. Both cardiologists and intensivists work together to take care of these patients. Similarly, ESICM, ERC and ACVC are working together to improve the outcome of these patients.”
