What’s next in ICM research?

ESICM invests in intensive care research for the future. Each year, the most promising research projects – from basic science to clinical research are selected and honoured during the popular hot topics session concluding the congress. At LIVES 2018 in Paris, more than 300 thousand euro will be presented to award winners! Learn more about the 2018 awards here.

Many award winning projects go on to carry out full scale clinical studies, some endorsed by the ESICM Trials Group. If you want to see what the landscape of research will look like in the coming years – this session provides an excellent opportunity to catch a glimpse of the topics and areas colleagues – and the specialty are investing in!
