ESICM Research Awards 2021: Young Investigator Award
Hear from our past awardees
The ESICM Research Awards are funded to enable both young and established investigators and clinicians to carry out basic or clinical research projects and develop, acquire, and apply advanced research procedures and techniques in the area of intensive care medicine.
Each week, some of our past ESICM Research Awards recipients will provide more information and details about their research projects and the single awards.
Martin Faltys is a Research Fellow at Biomedical Informatics Group ETH Zurich and Research Fellow in Intensive Care at University Hospital Bern.
In 2020, he won the ESICM Young Investigator Award, which supports young and talented physicians/scientists who have the potential to become outstanding independent investigators in the field of intensive care. Research proposals may rely on approaches ranging from basic cellular responses to outcome research and may include clinical applications as well as translational science.
Only ESICM members aged 40 years or younger are invited to submit applications.
