New Year message from the ESICM President

I would like to thank many people collectively in this message. Firstly, the members of the Society’s Committees, Sections and Working Groups who, in addition to their very demanding professional, clinical responsibilities, help deliver the numerous programmes and in depth scientific content which we share with our members. To our industry members, I wish to convey my sincere thanks for their generous and regular support of our educational courses, events and webinars.

Last, but no means least, I want to recognise the 9,000 members of our richly diverse and dynamic global intensive care community, and wish everyone a very happy holiday and peaceful end to the year and best wishes for 2019.
