New free webinar

Replay available

September 25 marks the annual World Pharmacists Day, established by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) in 2009.  This year’s theme, “Pharmacists strengthening health systems“, aims to advocate for the role of the pharmacist in improving health in every corner of the world.

In Intensive Care Medicine, studies have proven that a critical care pharmacist participating in interprofessional rounds reduces adverse drug events by 70%. This webinar will detail the impact of clinical pharmacists on ICU patient outcomes and announce the plans for an ESICM Intensive Care Pharmacy Working Group and new opportunities for engagement.

Aims & Objectives

  • Summarise the key roles ICU pharmacists have played in  ESICM activities over the past years.
  • Illustrate the evolving roles of intensive care pharmacists in Europe.
  • Apply current American intensive care pharmacist practices and organisational structures to Europe.
  • Showcase synergism between ICU pharmacists and intensivists.
