Replay available: the future of percutaneous tracheostomy in the ICU post-COVID

Percutaneous tracheostomy, a minimally invasive bedside procedure, is indicated to provide a long-term secure airway for elective critically ill patients and it is widely used in critical settings. This webinar will discuss the use of such procedure in post-COVID-19 Intensive Care Units.
Learning Outcomes:
- To assess a stepwise approach in maintaining upper airway patency and peri-procedural oxygenation, enhance patient safety during the procedure and plan to maintain a post-procedure safe airway.
- To properly select the timing and technique of tracheostomy in critically ill patients.
- To identify appropriate indications and contraindications for decannulation of a tracheostomy tube, weaning protocols in patients with indwelling tracheostomy and long term outcomes after tracheostomy.
