Perioperative mechanical ventilation: what did we learn?
Replay available
Mechanical ventilation (MV) is still necessary for many surgical procedures; nonetheless, intraoperative MV is not free from harmful effects. Protective ventilation strategies are usually adopted to minimise ventilation-induced lung injury and to avoid postoperative pulmonary complications.
Even so, the physiological response to the MV settings should be monitored in each patient. A personalised perioperative approach is gaining relevance in the field of intraoperative MV.
In this webinar, our experts will provide an overview of the latest perioperative mechanical ventilation procedures.
Learning Outcomes
- Describe the golden rules of intubation in OR
- Learn how to perform a safe perioperative ventilation
- Discuss over the possibilities of limiting post operative ventilation
