Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is the term applied to a spectrum of conditions with different etiologies that share common clinical-pathological characteristics. ARDS accounts for approximately 10% of admissions to intensive care units (ICU) and 23% of ventilated patients, with mortality up to 45% in the severe category. Clinical guidelines for definition, phenotyping, and respiratory support strategies on ARDS have been produced and reviewed during time to help clinicians manage ARDS patients.
In the following webinar, a panel of experts will discuss the novelties of ARDS management.
This webinar is organised by the ESICM & ISCCM (Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine).
