Peter Radermacher appointed as Editor In Chief Elect of Intensive Care Medicine Experimental (ICMx)

 

(BRUSSELS) ~ Professor Peter Radermacher has been appointed as the Editor in Chief Elect of Intensive Care Medicine Experimental (ICMx), an official open access online journal of ESICM, focused on publication of basic and experimental research in critical care medicine. The search committee, headed by ESICM President Massimo Antonelli, President Elect Josef Kesecioglu and ICM Editor In Chief Mervyn Singer made the announcement on June 6, 2018.

Peter is Professor of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine, and Chair of the Institute of Anaesthesiological Pathophysiology and Process Engineering at the University Medical School in Ulm, Germany. Over the past two decades, he has served as Associate Editor and reviewer for Intensive Care Medicine, as well as other highly ranked journals focused on critical care, and has sat on the Editorial Board of Intensive Care Medicine Experimental since its launch in 2013. Having himself published more than 400 original articles and reviews in peer reviewed journals and textbooks, Peter is an accomplished researcher, reviewer and editor and will undoubtedly serve the journal well in his new role at the helm.

Peter will step into the official post, held by current Editor in Chief Mervyn Singer in January 2019.

Mervyn Singer was the first Editor In Chief of ICMx and has worked tirelessly over the past 5 years to evolve it into a well respected, PubMed listed online journal.
