physiotherapy
The working group for physiotherapy seeks to establish a global ICU network of physiotherapists to increase the profile of physiotherapy within ESICM and wider critical care community. The group aims to develop a multidisciplinary network to allow exchange of ideas and promotion of research activity to support physiotherapy within ICU. This will be supported by organisation of thematic educational courses / seminars (in conjunction with the Division of Professional Development) aimed towards allied health professionals. Ultimately the aim would be the production of guidelines / consensus statements in matters related to physiotherapy and rehabilitation, utilising the vast expertise available within the society.
