The abstract submission system will close on December 3rd, 2025, 23:59 CET. This abstract receipt deadline will remain firm, and any abstracts received after the deadline will not be accepted.
Abstract submitters will receive an email confirmation immediately after submitting their abstract. If you do not receive this e-mail, please contact the Abstract Department.

Review Process
The submitted abstracts will be examined anonymously by the ESICM Conference Committee. The authors will be informed of acceptance/rejection of their abstract by e-mail. All abstracts selected for presentation at the Conference will be either presented as an oral or an e-poster presentation. There is NO publication in the ICMx Journal (= NO Abstract Book).

INDICATE Hackathon
Step into the future of intensive care innovation by joining our Hackathon on ICU Federated Data Usage, part of the 2026 ESICM Intensive Care Innovation Forum.
This dynamic event brings together ICU clinicians, engineers, data scientists, and startups from the INDICATE and EIT Health networks to co-create a vision for a global, real-time federated data infrastructure.
Participants will explore secure ways to connect ICU data across national and EU systems, focusing on Equitable AI Model Performance Across Diverse European ICU Populations and Value-based proposition (Long-term sustainability). Register now to gain hands-on experience on federated data in ICU, contribute to building ethical frameworks—guided by leading mentors.
