ESICM Hosts Successful Faculty Development Day for Intensive Care Fundamentals in Sibiu

This weekend, the ICF board travelled to the picturesque city of Sibiu, where, in collaboration with the Romanian Society of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care (SRATI), they hosted the Faculty Development Day—a pivotal event aimed at equipping experts to deliver the Intensive Care Fundamentals (ICF) course across Romania.

With over 50 participants from across the country, the event provided invaluable insights and practical strategies for delivering a high-quality ICF course. Faculty members and attendees engaged in interactive discussions, exchanging best practices to enhance intensive care education.

This collaboration represents a significant step toward establishing a European-standardised ICU training programme, ensuring that newcomers to intensive care receive the highest level of education. Ultimately, this initiative is dedicated to advancing patient care standards throughout Romania.
