Critical Care Datathon and Big Datatalk
Data challenges for doctors and data scientists
Maurizio Cecconi, Professor of Anaesthesia & Intensive Care at the Humanitas University & Research Centre of Milan, describes the context behind the now annual Critical Care Datathon and Big Datatalk event in Milan.
What was initially planned as a small meeting now attracts more than 450 clinicians and data scientists, who come together to network and interact with real databases.
Data science in medicine, particularly critical care, is transversal, and anyone working in intensive care with an interest in data – whether machine learning, bench-marking, quality improvement or large data set physiology – should attend this two and a half-day collaborative event, which kicks off on 31 January 2020.
The Datathon Team Challenge is now full, but there is still time to register for the Big Data Talk.
