Jean-Paul Mira shares his thoughts on the LICORN trial which sought to answer the question: Does a prophylactic levosimendan infusion reduce the incidence of postoperative low cardiac output syndrome in patients with impaired left ventricular function who are undergoing isolated or combined coronary artery bypass grafting surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass?
