Burnout among healthcare workers

icTV interview with Segun Olusanya, Clinical Fellow, North Hampshire Hospital, Basingstoke (United Kingdom).

Burnout and “toxic workplaces” are a global healthcare problem. Young doctors are struggling, clinicians are leaving and colleagues are out on sick leave, suffering from depression.

Why now? What can be done? Should departments be closed down? Whose responsibility is it to sort it out, given the limited resources?

Adrian Wong questions Segun Olusanya, an intensivist and researcher with a special interest in the wellbeing of doctors, who has answers to these burning questions and is able to offer guidance and some potential solutions.
