ESICM Academy: browse the TEM eModules

Academy eModules are electronic books grouped in categories. They contain updated, peer-reviewed, evidence-based training material. ESICM Academy is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).

If you are an ESICM member, you can access for free all the courses available on the Academy.

Each month we will highlight all the available courses related to a specific theme. With the upcoming webinar on the ERC-ESICM Guidelines on Post-Resuscitation Care, this month, we highlight all eModules curated by the TEM (Trauma and Emergency Medicine) Section.

Multiple Trauma

This e-Module characterizes the initial evaluation of a trauma patient utilizing the primary, secondary and tertiary assessment and outlines acute issues to be addressed as part of ongoing care in the ICU.

Major Intoxication

This e-Module will describe how to concurrently initiate treatment to maintain vital functions, limit absorption or enhance elimination of toxins, and list the available resources to access further information or experts to assist in the management of the critically ill poisoned patient

Burns Injury

Correct initial management of patients with large burns can make the difference between a good and a poor outcome. The aim of this module is to give clinical guidance on how to treat patients in the early phase of a major burn injury.
