Academy eModules are electronic books grouped into categories. They contain updated, peer-reviewed, evidence-based training material incluing a new module about how to apply a rapid hiv test. ESICM Academy is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).

Acute Liver Failure

In this module, the term Acute Hepatic Failure (AHF) will include both acute liver failure (ALF) and acute on chronic liver failure (ACLF); although these conditions share a number of aetiologies, they are distinct entities with important differences both in terms of clinical presentation and management.
