Intensive Care Medicine Experimental – 2025 Impact Factor

The Intensive Care Medicine Experimental (ICMx) Journal has achieved an Impact Factor of 2.9 for the year 2025, ranking 28th out of 66 journals!

Since its launch in 2013, Intensive Care Medicine Experimental (ICMx) has served as the official translational research journal of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM), providing a unique platform for research that bridges fundamental science and clinical practice. As an open-access journal, ICMx is dedicated to advancing our understanding of critical illness and accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries into better care for patients.

Today, we are delighted to celebrate an important milestone: ICMx has achieved an Impact Factor of 2.9. This accomplishment reflects the growing visibility, quality, and scientific influence of the research published in the journal and highlights the important role of translational science in advancing intensive care medicine.

This achievement belongs to our entire community. We extend our sincere gratitude to the authors who have entrusted us with their most innovative and impactful work, to our reviewers whose expertise and dedication help maintain the highest scientific standards, and to the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine and our publishing partners for their continued support and commitment.

We are equally grateful to our readers and the wider intensive care community for engaging with ICMx through reading, citing, discussing, and sharing our publications. Your trust and support have been instrumental in establishing ICMx as a leading journal for translational and experimental research in intensive care medicine.

As we celebrate this achievement, we remain committed to fostering scientific excellence, supporting emerging discoveries, and strengthening the connection between laboratory research and bedside care. We look forward to continuing this journey together and contributing to the advancement of intensive care research in the years ahead.
