Call for applications – Guidelines, Consensus Statements and Position Papers

The European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) is pleased to announce the launch of the 2026 call for applications for the development of Guidelines, Consensus Statements, Position Papers, and other key scientific documents.

As part of ESICM’s commitment to advancing evidence-based intensive care practice, the society now offers two application calls per year to better support project planning and timelines. Members and working groups are invited to submit high-quality proposals that contribute to clinical excellence, innovation, and improved patient care across the global intensive care community.

Call Calendar

🔹 Call 1 opens: Monday, 25 May 2026
🔹 Call 1 closes: Monday, 22 June 2026

🔹 Call 2 opens: Monday, 7 September 2026
🔹 Call 2 closes: Monday, 5 October 2026

Submission Criteria

Proposals should demonstrate:

• Strong clinical relevance to intensive care medicine
• Robust methodology and evidence-based frameworks
• Alignment with ESICM scientific and strategic priorities
