ESICM launches survey on ICU resilience, stress and preparedness
Over recent years, intensive care teams across Europe have worked under sustained pressure, navigating uncertainty, high workloads and rapid change. These challenges have highlighted both the remarkable resilience of ICU professionals and the need to better understand where additional support may be required.
To address this, ESICM is launching a short survey on ICU resilience, stress and preparedness. The aim is to gain insight into how intensive care professionals experience high-stress situations, how teams adapt in demanding circumstances, and how ESICM can best support its community through targeted initiatives.
The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete and is open to all ICU professionals. We strongly encourage participants to share the survey with colleagues across their ICU and professional networks, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists and other healthcare professionals involved in intensive care. Broad participation will help ensure a balanced and representative view across disciplines, settings and countries.
The results will directly inform future ESICM activities in the areas of preparedness, education and professional support, grounded in the real experiences of the intensive care community.
Participation is voluntary, and all responses will be treated confidentially. Thank you for your time, your engagement, and for helping us reach colleagues across intensive care.
Note: This survey is intended for ICU professionals currently working in Europe.
