ESICM strengthens European collaboration on crisis preparedness
ESICM was honoured to participate in a crisis-preparedness meeting hosted by UMFST Târgu Mureș, Romania, and coordinated in collaboration with SRATI. Held during the celebrations marking 80 years of UMFST, the event brought together delegations from Romania, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, and Ukraine to advance cooperation on Europe’s crisis-preparedness strategies.
Discussions focused on strengthening crisis-preparedness training, drawing on the successful model of ESICM’s C19_SPACE programme and on established regional approaches already operating across Europe. The meeting also took place within the framework of the EU Resilience Directive, which foresees a comprehensive report to be submitted by July 2026.
On this important occasion, ESICM proudly presented the ESICM booth, reaffirming its commitment to supporting European collaboration, professional development, and shared progress in intensive care medicine.
