Level 1. Foundation Course (introductory) in Haemodynamics (Part I) will provide you with an introductory view of the field of cardiovascular physiology, with a focus on arterial pressure curve variables, clinical indices of shock state and non-invasive cardiac output monitoring, fluid therapy fundamentals and basic pharmacotherapy of shock states. After registering for the event, ensure you access the pre-course materials available for study in the dedicated online classroom on the ESICM Academy.
Continue your learning journey with the Level 1. Part II, Level 2. Transition Course (application) and further deepen with Level 3. The Advanced Master Course (integration and simulation).

This Foundation course is particularly suitable for trainees before and in their first six months of training in intensive care medicine. However any practitioner who wishes to refresh the fundamentals of Haemodynamics is welcome.

The Foundation Course in Haemodynamics Part I, Virtual, Belgium 10/12/2025 – 11/12/2025, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 12.0 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
