Sepsis ALIVE is the new training programme covering principles and practical aspects of sepsis and global infections in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC).

REGISTRATIONS OPENING SOON

Sepsis is one of the most frequent causes of death. The majority of deaths from acute infectious diseases and sepsis occur in low- and lower-middle-income countries (LMICs). In striking contrast to these numbers, resources to treat and education on sepsis are the lowest in those areas of the world.

Education is considered one of the keys to improving the care of patients suffering from infectious diseases and sepsis in LMICs.

This training course aims to improve the knowledge of healthcare workers in LMICs on current concepts as well as principles and practical aspects of sepsis and global infections of relevance. This includes an understanding of:

  • Sepsis
  • Recognition and management of common global disorders
  • Principles of antimicrobial use
  • Relevant infection prevention control practices

The training programme includes self-study content with 16 chapters that open progressively.

Each self-study chapter includes e-Book reading content and supporting presentations created with the support of dedicated international experts, followed by a short self-assessment quiz.

A series of 4 Live webinars will take place in late 2023 where the highlights of the self-study content are further discussed among experts and participants. The training programme includes:
