Hôpital Edouard Herriot has excellent services in almost every medical and surgical specialties, with key services: emergency surgery, orthopedics surgery, transplantations and immunology, rheumatology, hepato-gastroenterology, medicine and vascular surgery, nephrology and dialysis, treatment of highly burnt patients.The hospital Edouard Herriot offers emergency welcome 24/7 for medical; surgical and ophthalmologic emergencies, It also hosts the paramedics center and hyperbaric medicine center.- 4 000 professionals including more than 500 doctorsMore than 100 000 entries to the medical emergency room /yearThe anesthesiology and intensive care medicine departement deal with - 29 OR, All speciality except Cardiothoracic and Neuro Surgery. 25 000 surgical interventions/year3 distinguished ICU with 35 beds.- Level 1 Trauma Reference center (more than 500 admission/ year)- 1 Surgical/trauma intensive care unit 20 beds attached to the trauma center. + 15 beds in a Intermediate care Unitin connection with the trauma networks of the Alpine axis and the Rhone Valley.Reference center for the management of severe infections, severe cellulitis and gaseous embolisms.Reference Center for Angiodemas networked with the SAMU and the Internal Medicine department.
