Certainly not a standard lecture-based course!
The European Perioperative Intensive Care Curriculum Master Class on 8 & 9 April engaged participants in different scenarios that required a fully interactive approach from start to finish.
Guided by the faculty, the attendees took part in group exercises and shared personal experiences of daily practice, while learning how to optimise treatment, take care of patients in the best possible way and, using role play, strengthen their communication skills to use with patients and their relatives.
Senior Faculty member, Michael Sander, explains in this postcard video that “this is not a standard lecture-based course…everyone has to be active! Everyone gives their thoughts on how patients are to be managed and at the final stage we come to conclusions about best practices”.
