Something for everyone
The ESICM Research and Industry Awards offer “something for everyone”, from junior to more experienced researchers, and from basic to clinical research.
This year’s awards include special interest categories, such as the Family Partnership Award, the Gobal ICU Award, the NEXT Start-up Grant, the industry partner awards (with the support of Baxter and Epimed) and the new GE Point of Care Challenge Awards, aimed specifically at the use of ultra-sound in sepsis.
To improve the smooth running of applications, the procedure now includes a pre-selection phase, whereby participants upload a short, abstract-style summary. Afterwards, selected applicants will be invited to send in their full proposals.
As well as the prestige of winning, financial support and visibility, successful researchers will be able to present their research results at LIVES.
The deadline for the first phase is 25 March. Good luck to all those involved.
Jan De Waele, Chair of the ESICM Research Committee, outlines the new process and different categories of awards.
