JOIN US @ LIVES 2016 IN MILAN

The N&AHP is a very active group at ESICM! Over the past years, our numbers have been steadily increasing and we play a strong role at the society's annual congress, with members presenting on behalf of a number of scientific sections – truly reflecting the team nature of intensive care medicine.

Abstract Awards Programme

For the first time, LIVES 2016 will offer a specialised N&AHP Abstract Awards Programme. This includes three major awards:

  • ESICM’s N&AHP Award (best abstract by a nurse or allied healthcare professional – all topics)
  • Intensive & Critical Care Nursing Award (excellence abstract by a nurse – all topics)
  • The Nutricia Medical Best N&AHP Abstract “Recovery in the Critically Ill” (excellent abstract by a nurse or allied healthcare professional – topic related to recovering / rehabilitation from critical illness) – Supported by an unrestricted research grant from Nutricia

Plus two Free Registration Awards for the next annual congress, LIVES 2017 in Vienna will be awarded to presenters of the best abstracts submitted on all topics. These abstracts will be presented in an special oral presentation session highlighting the Top Five Abstracts of Nurses & Allied Healthcare Professionals.

Scientific Programme Highlights

The scientific programme will offer a wide range of topics of interest to nurses and allied healthcare professionals and in addition to our State of the Art Session: HOTTEST TOPICS FOR N&AHP 2016, we will also have top sessions focused on professional issues and accountability and the clinical challenges around implementation of treatment withdrawal as well as clinical ethical, workforce, legal, practical and academic sessions  – so there really will be something for everyone. In addition, there will be a full and varied series of poster corners – more than we ever hosted before – including one devoted to paediatrics in ICU.

Networking Event

The networking event is an excellent opportunity to hear what the section has been doing, plus what is upcoming. This event also provides the perfect time for members to meet other nurses and AHPs from other countries –  to build alliances, share practice AND get involved in exciting projects for our section.

Be sure to join N&AHP at LIVES 2016…!
