LIVES 2016 is ready for take-off…

ESICM's 29th Annual Congress launches on Sunday, October 2nd with an Opening Session jam-packed with the biggest names in the field of intensive care medicine and a string of topical presentations designed to get your congress off to a smashing start…

ESICM President Daniel De Backer will kick off this original session with a round-up of the most important updates from the society, followed by President-elect Massimo Antonelli and the presentation of 2016's Honorary Memberships and prestigious Society Medal.

Two special guests will then share their expertise with the audience in their topical keynote presentations (see more here).

Chair of the Division of Scientific Affairs Jozef Kesecioglu will take to the stage to provide a run-down of all the best features LIVES 2016 has to offer, including a record 21 clinical trials results to be presented and the return of our daily interactive debate sessions!

Also new this year, our SIMULATION CENTRE where lucky participants could reserve their places in advance for hands-on training in MECHANICAL VENTILATION or TRANSOESOPHAGEAL ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY techniques!

Finally, Massimo Antonelli will invite registrants to join the opening reception in the scientific exhibition area.
