RENAL REPLACEMENT THERAPY: WHAT IS OPTIMAL?

KEYNOTE PRESENTATION

LIVES 2015 would not be complete without an inspired talk to start off the final day of the scientific programme! In his Keynote Lecture, John Vellum brings his considerable expertise in acute kidney injury to the lectern to answer the ultimate question regarding the use of RRT.

There continues to be considerable controversy about who, when and how to provide renal support for critically ill patients. This lecture will discuss the controversies and consider data from multiple sources. What is “optimal" may not be a uniform approach to all patients but rather a personalised one.
