Special Group Registration Fees (see Terms & Conditions)
ESICM welcomes group registrations for the Annual Congress. Sponsors, exhibitors, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, travel and communication agencies, can register groups of minimum 10 participants. The following registration fees are offered to the groups registered for the Congress until 27 September 2012. These fees are available for one centralised group registered by one single company. There are no reduced or special rates for nurses and other allied healthcare professionals.

ESICM Dual Membership
All members of a National Society that has signed the dual membership agreement with the ESICM. The reduced registration fee for dual membership will be granted only to official members of the ESICM/ESPNIC. Should your name/first name/email address be refused by the ESICM/ESPNIC membership online identification system, please ensure first that your membership fee is paid. The ESICM/ESPNIC membership department remains at your disposal for any further clarification at members@esicm.org. In case of a membership rejection, the non-member registration fee will apply.
ESICM/ESPNIC Member in Training

An Associate member may be any nurse or allied healthcare professional who is interested in intensive care medicine. The reduced registration fee for associate members will be granted only to official members of the ESICM/ESPNIC. The ESICM/ESPNIC membership department remains at your disposal for any further clarification at members@esicm.org. Non-member in Training
To be able to register as a non-member in training, a proof of your training status must be provided during the registration process. Proof can be a confirmation from your Head of Department on an official letterhead. This category is only available for the pre-congress postgraduate courses on Saturday and/or Sunday. Non-member Associate
Participants registering as Nurses, Physiotherapists and Allied Healthcare Professionals must submit proof of their status to the ESICM Registration Department at the time of registration. If proof can not be presented the regular participant registration fees apply. Proof can be a professional card showing your status or a Letter from your Head of Department confirming your status on an official Letterhead.
Medical Student
Registration as Medical Student requires a proof of the student status and is only granted to students born on or after 01 January 1986. A proof of your age, e.g. a copy of any ID card stating your name and age, as well as a medical student certificate must be provided during the registration process. Media Representative
There is no registration fee for accredited media representatives. However, to register as a media representative, a copy of the official press card must be provided.
Visa Requirements
It is the sole responsibility of the participant to take care of his/her visa requirements. Participants who require an entry visa must allow sufficient time for the application procedure. Participants should contact the nearest embassy or consulate to determine the appropriate timing of their visa applications. The Congress organisers will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants. Letter of Invitation
Individuals requiring an official Letter of Invitation can request one from the ESICM Registration Department. To receive a Letter of Invitation, participants must first register to the Congress and submit payment in full. Letters of Invitation will not be sent after the standard registration deadline. The Letter of Invitation does not financially obligate the Congress organisers in any way. All expenses incurred in relation to the Congress are the sole responsibility of the participant. Volunteering! (flyer) The Congress organisers of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine are looking for dedicated volunteers from Lisbon and the surrounding region to help on-site at the LIVES 2012, 25th ESICM Annual Congress.
