The 2012 Stoutenbeek Award

 
10 000 € for the best protocol of a clinical investigation in ICM
 

The Stoutenbeek Award will be granted to a candidate who:

 

  • demonstrates excellence as an intensive care investigator
  • presents the protocol of a clinical investigation (in preparation or under way) addressing an issue relevant for clinical practice in intensive care medicine 
  • qualifies through published studies
     

The investigation must meet the requirements of good clinical practice, be in line with the philosophy of Chris Stoutenbeek, and will result in a publication in an international journal.

 

Deadline for application 15 May 2012.

 

The protocol should be presented in a paper of 1000-1500 words. The protocol and curriculum vitae of the candidate should be emailed to the Secretary of the Stichting Invensief, Dr H.M Oudemans-van Straaten at h.m.oudemans-vanstraaten@olvg.nl
 

The 2011 Stoutenbeek Award winner is Vasilios Papaioannou with his project "Temperature variability analysis using wavelets and it's association with different biomarkers during SIRS, sepsis and septic shock in critically ill Patients".

 

The 2010 Stoutenbeek Award winner is Johan Weenink with his project "Prevalence  of vitamin D deficiency and correlation with outcome in intensive care patients in winter and summer".
