WHAT ARE THE membership benefits?

 

The European Society of Intensive Care Medicine is keen to welcome new members. Membership includes the following benefit 

  1. Subscription to the ESICM/ESPNIC official journal Intensive Care Medicine. Ordinary, International and Honorary membership includes an annual subscription to the ESICM/ESPNIC journal. ESICM/ESPNIC members benefit from a 85% discount (list price 710) 
  2. Privileged access to the electronic version of the journal after login in (password and user ID are given by the Brussels office) 
  3. Special discount for multiple payment of the annual membership fee
  4. Participation in the Scientific activities: Sections and Working groups, Annual Congress, joint international meetings, etc. 
  5. Participation in the Educational activities: Post-graduate courses, PACT, EDIC, CoBaTrICE, ECCRN Awards, etc. 
  6. Access to information about the development of Intensive Care Medicine in Europe through our Newsletter and our Annual Report and through our interactive website. 
  7. 20% discount on the registration fees at our Annual Congress and at international meetings endorsed by ESICM.
  8. Free copy of the ESICM Book distributed first during the Annual Congress and to all members thereafter.

Have these advantages convinced you? You will find a membership application form here. Please note that the normal timing for activating your membership is 6 weeks. 

Should you encounter any problems when trying to open the Membership application form, please make sure that the pop-ups blocker of your browser is disabled, particularly in Windows XP! Ask your IT manager for help if needed.

ESPNIC members should use the same application form. Joint ESPNIC/ESICM membership is automatic. Further information about specific ESPNIC issues can be found on the ESPNIC website.

When will your membership start?

 

The membership becomes effective upon approval by the Council (submission once a month) and the first payment of the membership fee. Please do not pay in advance. Fees will be requested only after approval.
