Working group on Haemodynamic Monitoring
Aims and Missions
In close collaboration with the Section Cardiovascular Dynamics, a questionnaire will be send out to all members of the Society, in order to obtain an idea about the spread, availability, and usage of the various monitoring devices in specific areas of critical care medicine.
Head
Jan Poelaert - Gent, Belgium
Activities
The Research group on Haemodynamics and Technology Assessment did not meet separately during the last ESICM congress in Amsterdam, but joined the Section on Technology Assessment. We agreed upon a proposal for an industry supported symposium on Newer non-invasive haemodynamic monitoring, including Doppler techniques, non-invasive CO2 monitoring and cardiac output, and the arterial pressure tracing derived monitoring tools (Picco and Lidco).
