Activities
Several projects of the section are still running successfully. Two new sub-studies have emerged from the SAPS 3 project: "Sepsis Mortality Prediction based on Predisposition, Injury and Response" has been published in the journal Intensive Care Medicine and is available for download. The second model deals with outcome prediction after 28 days and will be published in the Journal of Critical Care soon. Moreover, software to calculate the extended scores is now available on this website. Preliminary results of the SEE 2 study have already been presented in the Hot-Topics session at Berlin. The results are striking and we look forward to see them published and discussed. You can find further details under the link below.
Since the term of the Section Chair and the Deputy end this year, elections will take place in spring. We ask all of you to make use of your vote. Please ensure that you are registered as a voting member for the Section! Hope to see you all in Lisbon.
P. Metnitz
