THE ESICM IS DEVOTED TO EDUCATION AND TRAINING


The Congress Committee in conjunction with the Educational and Training Committee have prepared a full educational track prior and during the ESICM Annual Congress.  

Three types of educational sessions are available

  • Post-graduate courses 8 post-graduate courses are organised prior to the congress
  • Educational sessions 10 sessions are presented in an interactive way throughout the congress
  • Competency training 23 sessions of 30-min training sessions during the congress.
  • One of the post-graduate courses is a refresher course which is intended as a review course suitable for refreshement and for those taking the EDIC exam.  MCQs will be part of the course.

THE NEXT COURSES 

will be organised on 20-21 September 2008 prior to our Annual Congress in Libon, Portugal. The detailed programmes is now available. 

All sessions are adequate as a preparation for sitting the EDIC written examination that will be held on the Monday 22 September 2008 in Lisbon, Portugal at the Annual Congress. 

PACT components have now been incorporated into the ESICM Congress programme since Berlin 2004. ‘PACT modules’ sessions feature different modules of the educational programme. Other educational sessions of the congress are also based on PACT modules. The PACT programme is also intended to serve as the basis on the EDIC written examination and 20-30% of EDIC questions are based on PACT modules.
